The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
