We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
