The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to the stinters who, 1 Those who when they take the measure from others, take it in full! 2 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. 3 What! Do they not expect that they will be raised? 4 [and called to account] on an awesome Day 5 The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? 6 Nay! most surely the record of the wicked is in the Sijjin. 7 Ah! what will convey unto thee what Sijjin is! - 8 (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed. 9 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 10 those that give the lie to the Day of Recompense. 11 And none gives the lie to it but every exceeder of limits, sinful one 12 When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples." 13 Not at all – but rather their earnings have heaped rust upon their hearts. 14 Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day. 15 Then most surely they shall enter the burning fire. 16 And it will be said (unto them): This is that which ye used to deny. 17 Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the Iliyin. 18 And what will make you know what the highest Iliyin is? 19 It is a comprehensively written Book (of records). 20 The ones nearest to God will bring it to public. 21 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 22 [resting on couches, they will look up [to God]: 23 You will recognize in their faces the brightness of bliss. 24 They will be given to drink of pure wine, sealed. 25 With a sealing of musk, which those who aspire for the best should desire, -- 26 It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim. 27 a fountain at which the chosen ones shall drink. 28 Behold, the wicked were wont to laugh at the believers: 29 and whenever they pass by them, they wink at one another [derisively]; 30 And when they went back to their people turned to make fun of them; 31 And when they saw them, they said: "They have indeed gone astray." 32 And withal, they have no call to watch over [the beliefs of] others... 33 So today the believers are laughing at the unbelievers, 34 On (high) thrones, looking (at all things). 35 Surely the disbelievers are rewarded as they did. 36
