Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 and the severally severing 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
