Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 excusing or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
