Al-A 'araaf 8 of 24
We sent Noah to his people. He told them, "Worship God for He is your only Lord. I am afraid of the punishment that you might suffer on the great Day (of Judgment)". 59 The chieftains of his people said: Lo! we see thee surely in plain error. 60 He said: O my people! There is no error in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the Worlds. 61 I am conveying my Lord's messages to you and giving you sincere advice. I know things from God that you do not. 62 “And are you surprised that an advice came to you from your Lord through a man amongst you, so that he may warn you and that you may fear, and so that there be mercy upon you?” 63 But they denied him, so We saved him and those who were with him in the ship. And We drowned those who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a blind people. 64
