And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 But As-Saihah (torment - awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days). 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 Of what they used to do. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
