One Day every soul will come up struggling for itself, and every soul will be recompensed (fully) for all its actions, and none will be unjustly dealt with. 111 And Allah has illustrated an example of a township – which dwelt in peace and security, its provisions coming in abundance from every side – in response the township started being ungrateful of Allah’s favours, therefore Allah made it taste the punishment by covering it with a cloak of starvation and fear, on account of their deeds. 112 And certainly there came to them an Apostle from among them, but they rejected him, so the punishment overtook them while they were unjust. 113 So eat of the lawful and good food which Allah has provided for you. And be grateful for the Graces of Allah, if it is He Whom you worship. 114 The only things which are made unlawful for you are the flesh of dead animals, blood, pork and that which is not consecrated with the Name of God. But in an emergency, without the intention of transgression and rebellion, (it is not an offense for one to consume such things). God is certainly All-forgiving and All-merciful. 115 And do not say, as to what your tongues falsely describe, 'This is lawful; and this is forbidden, so that you may forge against God falsehood; surely those who forge against God falsehood shall not prosper. 116 (In such falsehood) is but a paltry profit; but they will have a most grievous Penalty. 117 We have already recounted to you what We prohibited to the Jews. In so doing We did not wrong them; it is they who wronged themselves. 118 To those who do wrong out of ignorance, then repent and correct themselves, your Lord is indeed forgiving and kind. 119
