Say: "Who guards you from Ar-Rahman by night and by day?" Yet from a mention of their Lord they turn away. 42 Do they [really think that they] have deities that could shield them from Us? Those [alleged deities] are not [even] able to succour themselves: hence, neither can they [who worship them hope to] be aided [by them] against Us. 43 We gave days of enjoyment to them and their fathers until their life became long. Are they unable to see how We come to their land and reduce its borders. Or, is it they who are the victors? 44 Tell them: "I only warn you by the Revelation." But the deaf do not hear the cry when they are warned. 45 If a blast of the torment of your Lord strikes them, they will say, "Woe to us! We have been unjust people." 46 We shall set up just scales on the Day of Resurrection so that none will be wronged in the least. (We shall bring forth the acts of everyone), even if it be the weight of a grain of mustard seed. We shall suffice as Reckoners. 47 And We had already given Moses and Aaron the criterion and a light and a reminder for the righteous 48 those who fear their Lord in the unseen, also dread the Hour of Judgement. 49 And this is an admonition blest, which We have sent down! will ye then be the rejectors thereof? 50
