The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 to their promise, 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
