It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks. 78 It is God who has settled you on the earth and before Him you will all be assembled. 79 It is He Who gives life and death, and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand? 80 On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said. 81 They said, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be indeed raised up? 82 We and our fathers have been promised this before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients.' 83 Say: "Whose is the earth and whosoever is therein? If you know!" 84 Thereupon they will say, “To Allah”; proclaim, “Therefore why do you not ponder?” 85 Say, "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and of the Glorious Throne?" 86 They will say: (This is) Allah's. Say: Will you not then guard (against evil)? 87 Ask them: "Say, if you indeed know, to whom belongs the dominion over all things; (Who is it) that grants asylum, but against Whom no asylum is available?" 88 They will say: (This is) Allah's. Say: From whence are you then deceived? 89 We have revealed to them the truth. But they are certainly liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 The All Knowing, of every hidden and the visible – so Supremacy is to Him over their ascribing of partners (to Him). 92
