O you who have believed, do not consume usury, doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful. 130 Guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for unbelievers. 131 and obey God and the Messenger; haply so you will find mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten to a forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as wide as heaven and earth, prepared for the cautious 133 Those who spend (benevolently) in ease as well as in straitness, and those who restrain (their) anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good (to others). 134 And those who, having done something to be ashamed of, or wronged their own souls, earnestly bring Allah to mind, and ask for forgiveness for their sins,- and who can forgive sins except Allah?- and are never obstinate in persisting knowingly in (the wrong) they have done. 135 Their reward will be forgiveness from their Lord and gardens wherein streams flow and wherein they will live forever. How blessed is the reward of those who labor. 136 Systems have passed away before you. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for those who did deny (the messengers). 137 This (the Quran) is a plain statement for mankind, a guidance and instruction to those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2). 138 Do not, then, either lose heart or grieve: for you shall surely gain the upper hand if you are true men of faith. 139 If you have been struck by some misfortune, so they (the disbelievers) too have been struck earlier with the same misfortune; these are the days in which We have allotted turns to people; and so that Allah may make known the believers and may bestow martyrdom to some of you; and Allah does not befriend the unjust. 140 And that Allah may prove those who believe, and may blight the disbelievers. 141 Do you think you will go to Paradise while God does not know who among you strive and persist? 142 And assuredly ye were wont to long for death ere ye had met it. Now ye are beholding it even while ye are looking on. 143
