Pray, “My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,” 93 My Lord! then place me not among the wrong-doing people. 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones. 97 I seek refuge with You, Lord, lest they should come near me." 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 "In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up. 100 There will be no kindred relations nor any opportunity to ask about others or seek their assistance after the trumpet has sounded. 101 And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state; 102 And the ones whose scales prove light – it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever. 103 The fire lashes their faces and therein are shriveled lips. 104 [And God will say:] "Were not My messages conveyed unto you, and were you [not] wont to give them the lie?" 105 They will say: "O Lord, our misery overwhelmed us, so we remained a people astray. 106 Get us out of this, O Lord. If we transgress we will surely be sinful." 107 Allah will say: "Away from Me; stay where you are and do not address Me. 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 He will say, “How long did you stay on earth, counting by the number of years? 112 They will say: We tarried a day or part of a day, but ask those who keep account. 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 Did you think that We had created you only for play, and that you would never be returned to Us' 115 High Exalted be Allah, the King, the Truth. There is no god except He, the Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
