۞ And those who fear not the meeting with Us say: wherefore are not angels sent down unto us or wherefore we see not our Lord! Assuredly they have proven stiff-necked in their souls and have exceeded the bounds with excess great. 21 The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible." 22 And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. 23 The inhabitants of Paradise that day, better shall be their lodging, fairer their resting-place. 24 On a Day when the sky will split open with its clouds and the angels are sent down rank upon rank, 25 The dominion on that Day shall be the true dominion of the Compassionate, and it shall be a day upon the infidels hard. 26 And (remember) the Day when the Zalim (wrong-doer, oppressor, polytheist, etc.) will bite at his hands, he will say: "Oh! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger (Muhammad SAW). 27 Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend. 28 He led me away from the true guidance after it had come to us. Satan is a traitor to people." 29 The Messengers will say, "Lord, my people had abandoned this Quran." 30 O Muhammad, in this very way We have made the criminals the enemies of every Prophet, but your Lord suffices for you as your Guide and Helper. 31 And the disbelievers say, “Why was the Qur’an not sent down to him all at once?” This is how We sent it in stages, in order to strengthen your heart with it and We read it slowly, in stages. 32 and [that] they [who deny the truth] might never taunt thee with any deceptive half-truth without Our conveying to thee the [full] truth and [providing thee] with the best explanation. 33 Those who will be dragged on their faces towards hell – theirs is the worst destination and they are the most astray. 34
