When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 He said, 'My Lord, I fear they will cry me lies, 12 and my chest will become constricted and my tongue will not be loosed (in my speech), therefore, send to Aaron. 13 "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; 16 so send forth with us the Children of Israel." 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 You spent many years of your life among us and then you committed that deed of yours. You are very ungrateful indeed." 19 Moses replied, "I did that when I was one of the misguided, 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?" 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. 26 Said he, 'Surely your Messenger who was sent to you is possessed!' 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 Then he drew out his hand, and it was luminous to the onlookers. 33
