۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 (Saying): "Verily! These indeed are but a small band. 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 And most surely we are a vigilant multitude. 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 treasures, and graceful dwellings. 58 Even so. And We gave them as a heritage to the children of Israel. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 When the two groups came close to each other, the companions of Moses said, "We will be caught". 61 Said he, 'No indeed; surely my Lord is with me; He will guide me.' 62 Then We revealed to Moses, 'Strike with thy staff the sea'; and it clave, and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 And We brought near thither the others. 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
