The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 so fear Allah and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear God and follow me." 110 ۞ They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 “And I will not repel the Muslims.” 114 I am nothing but a plain warner." 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 So We saved him and those with him in a laden ship. 119 Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
