The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest (of the people) follow thee? 111 He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing. 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 And I am not to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will, certainly, be stoned to death." 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them do not believe: 121 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 122
