The tribe of Thamud rejected the Messengers. 141 When their brother Salih said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 142 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 143 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 144 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 145 Will ye be left secure in that which is here before us, 146 amidst gardens and fountains, 147 "And corn-fields and date-palms with spathes near breaking (with the weight of fruit)? 148 and that you will [always be able to] hew dwellings out of the mountains with [the same] great skill?" 149 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 150 And do not obey the order of the transgressors, 151 "Who make mischief in the land, and reform not." 152 They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! 153 "Thou art no more than a mortal like us: then bring us a Sign, if thou tellest the truth!" 154 He said: 'Here is a shecamel. She shall have her share of water as you have yours on an appointed day. 155 so do her no harm, or the punishment of an awful day will befall you." 156 Then they hamstrung her; and then they became regretful. 157 and torment struck them. In this there is evidence of the Truth, yet many people do not have any faith. 158 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 159

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
