Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
