The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 so fear God, and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
