This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, - 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 And lower thy wing (in kindness) unto those believers who follow thee. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 who sees you when you stand 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
