The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. 1 THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth! 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We list, We can send down unto them a sign from the heaven so that their necks would become to it submissive. 4 Never does there come to them an admonition from the Merciful Lord but they turn away from it. 5 So, they belied, but surely the tidings of that they mocked will come to them. 6 Do they not look at the earth, how We caused a variety of fine vegetation to grow from it (in abundance)? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 Your Lord is the Majestic and the All-merciful. 9
