Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
