In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, full of wisdom, 2 A Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good,- 3 for those who attend to their prayers and pay the zakat and who have firm faith in the Hereafter: 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 (In an attempt to show that God's revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment. 6 And when Our communications are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement. 7 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens of serenity. 8 They shall abide in them forever. This is Allah's promise that shall come true. He is the Most Powerful, the Most Wise. 9 He created the heavens without any supports visible to you, and cast mountains as anchors into the earth so that it may not shake with you, and spread all kinds of beasts in it; and We sent down water from the sky so thereby grew all kinds of refined pairs in it. 10 this is God's creation. Show me then what those besides Him have created! The wrongdoers are in manifest error. 11
