O Prophet! say unto thy wives and thy daughters and women of the believers that they should let down upon them their wrapping-garments. That would be more likely to distinguish them so that they will not be affronted. And Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and perverts, and the rumour-mongers of Madinah, do not desist even now, We shall rouse you against them, so they would not be able to live but a short time in the city with you. 60 Accursed, wherever they are found, they will be seized and killed. 61 That was the way of Allah in the case of those who passed away of old; thou wilt not find for the way of Allah aught of power to change. 62 The people will question thee concerning the Hour. Say: 'The knowledge of it is only with God; what shall make thee know? Haply the Hour is nigh.' 63 Verily Allah has cursed the Unbelievers and prepared for them a Blazing Fire,- 64 wherein they will live forever without being able to find any guardian or helper. 65 The Day their faces will be turned about in the Fire, they will say, "How we wish we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger." 66 And they will say, "Our Lord, indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries, and they led us astray from the [right] way. 67 O our Lord! give them a double punishment and curse them with a great curse. 68

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
