Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya Sin. 1 By the wise Qur'an, 2 you are indeed one of the messengers 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 with a revelation sent down by the Mighty One, the Merciful, 5 That you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 Verily! We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to chins, so that their heads are forced up. 8 And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see. 9 It makes no difference to them whether you warn them or do not warn them: they will not believe. 10 Thou canst [truly] warn only him who is willing to take the reminder to heart, and who stands in awe of the Most Gracious although He is beyond the reach of human perception: unto such, then, give the glad tiding of [God's] forgiveness and of a most excellent reward! 11 Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear writing. 12
