There is a sign in the dead earth for them which We quicken, and produce from it grain which they eat. 33 and produced therein grains from which they eat and established therein gardens of palms trees and vineyards and have made streams flow therein 34 So that they may eat from its fruits, whereas they are not manufactured by their hands! So will they not be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him, Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not. 36 A token unto them is night. We strip it of the day, and lo! they are in darkness. 37 And the sun -- it runs to a fixed resting-place; that is the ordaining of the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 38 And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch. 39 The sun cannot overtake the moon, nor can the night outpace the day: each floats in [its own] orbit. 40 And a token unto them is that We bear their offspring in the laden ship, 41 and We have created for them the like of it whereon they ride; 42 and if We will, We drown them, then none have they to cry to, neither are they delivered, 43 save as a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while. 44 And when it is said to them: "Beware of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allah's Religion Islamic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allah with righteous deeds). 45 Never does any Sign of their Lord come to them, but they turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error." 47 They say: “When will this threat (of Resurrection) come to pass? Tell us if indeed you are truthful.” 48 They await but one Shout, which will seize them while they dispute. 49 and so [sudden will be their end that] no testament will they be able to make, - nor to their own people will they return! 50
