The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
