۞ (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 We seduced you astray; verily we were ourselves the seduced ones. 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In gardens of pleasure 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 Are we not then to die 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 So is this welcome better, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have indeed made that a punishment for the unjust. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And certainly most of the ancients went astray before them, 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
