3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
