3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
