Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, writers 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
