Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
