We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
