Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. -- 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 They will enter gardens of Eden with their gates open for them. 50 wherein they will recline, [and] wherein they may [freely] call for many a fruit and drink, 51 ۞ They will have bashful wives of equal age with them. 52 This is what you are promised for the day of reckoning. 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 And other similar torments. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
