And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 (Allah said to him): "Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink." 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 We said to Him, "Take a handful of twigs in your hand and strike with that but do not break your oath." We found him steadfast. What an excellent servant! He turned constantly to his Lord. 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 Verily We exalted them in consideration of a sterling quality: their remembrance of the Abode of the Hereafter. 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones; 55 Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place. 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 Here is an army rushing blindly with you. (Those who are already in the Fire say): No word of welcome for them. Lo! they will roast at the Fire. 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 And they will say: "What is the matter with us that we see not men whom we used to count among the bad ones?" 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
