۞ Say, [God says] "O My servants, who have committed excesses against their own souls, do not despair of God's mercy, for God surely forgives all sins. He is truly the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. 53 "Turn ye to our Lord (in repentance) and bow to His (Will), before the Penalty comes on you: after that ye shall not be helped. 54 “And follow this, the best among all, which has been sent down towards you from your Lord, before the punishment comes suddenly upon you whilst you are unaware.” 55 Lest a person should say: "Alas, my grief that I was undutiful to Allah (i.e. I have not done what Allah has ordered me to do), and I was indeed among those who mocked [at the truth! i.e. La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), the Quran, and Muhammad SAW and at the faithful believers, etc.] 56 Or should say: If Allah had but guided me I should have been among the dutiful! 57 Or (so that no soul) may say when it beholds the punishment, “If only I may be sent back, so that I may do good deeds!” 58 Yes indeed! But My Signs came to you and you rejected them as lies, and waxed arrogant and were among those who disbelieved. 59 On the Day of Resurrection, you shall see those who lied about Allah with blackened faces. In Gehenna is there not a lodging for those who were proud? 60 And Allah shall deliver those who guard (against evil) with their achievement; evil shall not touch them, nor shall they grieve. 61 Allah is the Creator of every thing and He has charge over every thing. 62 His are the keys of the heavens and the earth, and they who disbelieve the revelations of Allah - such are they who are the losers. 63
