Thus did We deliver the Children of Israel from the humiliating chastisement, 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 We gave preference to the Israelites over the other people with Our knowledge 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 'There is nothing but our first death; we shall not be revived. 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
