Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By Qaf and the glorious Quran, (you are the Messenger of God). 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 We know all what the earth decreases from them; and with Us is a Book that retains. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon, 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We have sent down from the heaven water and blest wherewith We have caused gardens to grow and the grain reaped. 9 And tall date-palms with their spathes pile on pile 10 As sustenance for the bondmen; and with it We revived a dead city; this is how you will be raised. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15
