Al-Isra 8 of 12
The Day will surely come when We shall summon every people with their leader. Then those who are given their records in their right hands will read their records [eagerly] and shall not in the least be wronged: 71 but whoever has been blind in this life will be blind in the life to come, and still farther astray from the path [of truth]. 72 Verily, they were about to tempt you away from that which We have revealed (the Quran) unto you (O Muhammad SAW), to fabricate something other than it against Us, and then they would certainly have taken you a friend! 73 And if We had not strengthened you, you would have almost inclined to them a little. 74 then We would have let you taste the double of life and death; and you would have found none to help you against Us. 75 They very nearly provoked you to drive you out of the land, but they would have only lingered for a little while after you. 76 (This was Our) way with the messengers We sent before thee: thou wilt find no change in Our ways. 77
