Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
