Have you heard the story of the honorable guests of Abraham? 24 When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. 25 Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, 26 And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said: 'Have no fear', and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son. 28 Then his wife came forward, crying and beating her brow. She said, "I am surely a barren, old woman." 29 They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.” 30 ۞ [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" 31 They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, 32 That we may send upon them stones of clay, 33 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". 34 So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. 35 And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 And also in Moses, when We sent him unto Pharaoh, with a clear authority, 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. 40 And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; 41 that left nothing it came upon, but made it as stuff decayed. 42 And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" 43 Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding 44 So they were neither able to stand up, nor were they able to take revenge. 45 And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. 46
