Therefore, remind and preach (mankind, O Muhammad SAW of Islamic Monotheism). By the Grace of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor a madman. 29 Or do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!" 30 Say: 'Await! I shall be awaiting with you.' 31 Do their minds command them to do this, or are they an outrageous folk? 32 What! They say, “He has invented the Qur'an”? Rather they do not have faith. 33 (If they are truthful in this), then let them produce a discourse of similar splendour. 34 Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord? Have they any authority over God? 37 Or have they a ladder whereon they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Do the daughters belong to Him and the sons to you? 39 Or do you demand any wages from them so that they are burdened with expense? 40 Or [do they think] that the hidden reality [of all that exists] is almost within their grasp, so that [in time] they can write it down? 41 Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan. 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" 44 Then let them be (O Muhammad), till they meet their day, in which they will be thunder-stricken, 45 The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. 46 The unjust will suffer other torments besides this but most of them do not know. 47 Await the judgement of your Lord, for you are always before Our eyes, and glorify your Lord with praises when you rise, 48 and proclaim the praise of thy Lord in the night, and at the declining of the stars. 49
