The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man, 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
