The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Merciful 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He hath created man. 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
