Noah (Nooh)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Bee (Al-nahl) before Abraham (Ibrahim)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Lo! We sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn thy people ere the painful doom come unto them. 1 He said: O my people! Surely I am a plain warner to you: 2 That you should worship God and fear Him, and follow me 3 Allah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.' " 4 He said, “My Lord! I invited my people night and day.” 5 but my call has only increased them in running away. 6 And whenever I called them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, and wrapped them in their garments, and persisted, and waxed very proud. 7 “I then called them openly.” 8 And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them, and I have appealed to them in private. 9 "Saying, 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is Oft-Forgiving; 10 He will send you abundant 11 ‘And will aid you with wealth and sons, and will create gardens for you and cause rivers to flow for you.’ 12 What has come upon you that you do not fear the majesty of God, 13 He has created you by stages! 14 Do you not see how Allah has created seven heavens, one upon the other, 15 "'And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp? 16 And Allah has caused you to grow from the earth a [progressive] growth. 17 He will make you return to it and then take you out of it again. 18 ‘And it is Allah Who made the earth a bed for you.’ 19 for you, so that you may walk along its wide roads". 20

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
