Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 Others will be despondent, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
