Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
