Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
